How do I get ahold of a live person .... ?? I've been on here 25 years & still can't get an answer on a topic not covered in their **bleep**ty help service. I wonder how much biz they lose since there is no live person available to help anyone. Back to Amazon which is beating this outfit all to hell. Gee I wonder why? Wake Up eBay?? Can anyone help me.....??
eBay staff are working from home because of Covid.
To contact eBay Customer Services, type Advanced Search in to Help & Contact bar top of your eBay page. Scroll down to the bottom of that page, you will see Contact Us, and the option to use Live Chat, and sometimes, there is a Call Back system.
Both options will give you an approximate time you need to wait for a response from their team.
Lines open today between 9 a.m. and 10 pm
You could always comer back here and ask, usually someone around to help
Um, you're in the US, and this is the UK site. So you obviously aren't going to find an answer to your query in the Help pages over here. Log out, and back into ebay.com, and use the Help pages and forums over there.
@$1: I note that other people have responded with comments along the lines of "Post on your own boards" given that you live in the USA, but if you were to take the time to post the query on these boards, as well as on www.ebay.com, then it should double your chances of receiving a satisfactory answer to your query. You still haven't told us what the query was in relation to - if you give us an explanation of the problem then perhaps somebody will be able to post a response which resolves the problem for you. Granted, there may be some questions which would be better posted on the American site for a more accurate answer, such as "How long on average would it take for a parcel to get from Montgomery, AL, to San Francisco, CA?" but if it was something that could be answered on either site, such as "How long, on average, does it take for a parcel to get from the USA to the UK?" then you should be able get answers on both sites. I've just used these questions as examples, although I don't know the answer to the first one. However, the answer to the second one, in case you were wondering, is "On average, ten calendar days pre-Covid, but currently around twelve calendar days." So, try posting your question anyway - if you had done so already then somebody may have been able to provide you with the answer by now.
"I've been on here 25 years & still can't get an answer on a topic"
And what makes you think you will get an answer on these UK boards [without any detail] when you have failed for 25 years on your own USA boards?
Hint: When putting a question to eBay's board of "most experienced members" why not explain what the problem is, instead of just asking how to contact eBay?
EBay isn't that different between UK and US, and someone here could probably have answered your question.
If you can't find the answer to whatever question you want to ask, then I think you are being very optimistic to expect speaking to a real person at Ebay is going to help. If they are like ours in the UK , they will tell you anything to get you off the line.
Why not ask the question on te US Answer Centre you are more likely to get an answer from a REAL MEMBER.
You are in the USA, ask on your own boards.
