Seller declined return, procudt hair dryer curler overheats. How do i get ebay to step in as product purchased faulty or fake and seller doesnt want to know????
Sellers can't simply decline returns for faulty products. If you don't tell us how you paid, when you received this and exactly what return procedure you have already followed, it's very hard to advise you properly.
Can I suggest that you start by reading about eBay's money back guarantee. This will probably answer your question, but if it doesn't you can ask again, giving us more information.
You will find full details of eBay's money back guarantee here: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/money-back-guarantee.html
I have no idea what you mean by 'used but new'. It's impossible. It can only be one or the other.
However, sellers cannot decline return requests for items which are faulty on arrival, whether used or new, so I suspect that all you've done is message them...?
If so, you need to Read Ebay's Money Back Guarantee (on every listing, in various other places across the site, and on your order confirmation email) to learn how to open a return request and return the faulty item for a full refund. You also have the More Actions dropdown beside the transaction on your Purchase History page, the Resolution Centre (link at foot of any page), and the Help pages with their integral search to refer to (links at top and foot of any page).
If you did actually open a return request and it was declined, then that can only be because you chose the wrong reason for the return and the seller is a private seller (private sellers do not have to accept change of mind, does not fit, and buyer error returns). If so, you will have to open a Not As Described case in PayPal. The tracked return will be at your expense as PayPal cannot supply postage labels. With luck, PayPal's 'Returns on us' scheme may still be running. If so, check it out for details.
