An item I ordered has not arrived, disappeared from my purchase history

An order I made has not been delivered, all the details are on my paypal account, but it has disappeared from my purchase history on ebay, so I can't track it through ebay, what can I do?   Its not possible to contact ebay.

Log into PayPal and open an item not received dsipute for this transaction.

Escalate it within 20 days.

I can't do that as the item is not anywhere on my ebay. I can only see it on Paypal.. as I replied to rusticrye :

I have had an online chat with ebay, they tell me I have a 'guest' account .... news to me. and I can't access it because this 'guest account' does not recognise my password (although ebay said it should). I don't understand the explanation that I was not fully signed in, so a guest account was created? Surely If I am signed in I am IN not signed OUT, how can I be halfway in or out, I was not doing the hokey cokey!! This guest account had access my paypal but I can't access the guest account .. weird?
