Am I the only one who is disappointed with the lack of speed with which some sellers dispatch items?

Am I the only one who is disappointed with the lack of speed with which some sellers dispatch items? Some sellers take 4 or 5 days

or more to dispatch items. All well and good for sellers of unique used items but eBay shops should be careful. I can buy new items as quick and cheap on Amazon and often have next day free delivery.

Ok i shall answer for myself....

My despatch is currrently set at 5 days.

1.    I work full time and will continue to do so in the new lockdown and due to the nature of my job i often have to work late 

2,    Due to the pandemic delays generally are to be expected from carriers so if my items are delayed then i can get a very damaging           defect on my account.

3.    I cannot pander to the "i want it yesterday brigade"  if they do not like my despatch time then dont buy from me

Saying the above usually i can and do post within a couple of days.    If i state 5 days and the buyers get their item much sooner then they are well happy.    Basically it all depends on a sellers personal circumstances as to how quick they can post items out to Buyers.

Another point i should have added......in the current pandemic i am trying to cut down the amount of times i actually go to the Post Office. I find that  some of my buyers take a day or two to pay nowadays which is fine by me.   I only chase for payment after say 3 days and if i am waiting to go to the Post office.

As has been said some sellers put longer dispatch time to allow for delays but often post quicker.
