Hi,
My seller has asked for a 6 digit confirmation number for an item I collected. He says it is in an email but I haven't received it.
He is very insistent!
Could anyone help me find out where this number will be please?

As I''ve just told someone else, Ebay's new collection code system only works when both parties used the app. The seller then scans your collection code with his phone at time of collection.
Tell him that all he can do when both parties don't use the app, is to mark the transaction as 'Dispatched' using a PC or laptop.
Full info on the collection code system is in the Help pages, and in Announcements, and probably in the Seller Centre too. I suggest you both read it when you get a moment, to get up to speed with how it works. 🙂
Only if you use the Ebay App. would you receive this code and it would come to your phone. You show to seller who scans with his phone.
If you don't have the code you can supply it, tell him to mark as Dispatched using more actions.
The code sounds like the kind of thing that you'd get if you were using the app. If you were using a computer or laptop then that may well explain the reason as to why you have not received it. The seller can still mark the item up as having been collected by going to his All Selling page, scrolling down to the list of sold items and then clicking on the envelope icon so as to manually override the need for the code and mark the item up as having been despatched. He can also click on the £ icon to mark the item up as having been paid for if you paid for the item in cash. If he does not appear to be aware of this then send him an e-mail via eBay Messages to explain this (maybe just copy and paste this explanation into the section where you would otherwise type the message manually if you want to save yourself some time) and he should be able to resolve the problem.
