losing the will to live: password tangle

I created a new password for eBay on the desktop version and now I can't get into the mobile app. I can't enter the new password manually because eBay just shows it as a string of asterisks. If I make a new password on the app how can I enter it on the desktop? Do I have to get a new password for every time I go on eBay?

I now always use STRONG passwords.

I can log in on my phone using the site on Safari and have deleted the app. That might not be ideal but it works.

As far as I am aware deleting an app on iOS also deletes the app's data. Therefore if you reinstall the app you should be prompted to enter your login credentials again as the app will have no credentials stored/cached on the device.
