Re: eBay sales dropped off a cliff

Over on my website and face to face at my open days, I see no slow down this year.

Oddly its low value items that are not shifting. But higher value things most definitely are.

In other words those on low income are holding back.

But with "the more wealthy person" I am not seeing any slow down. Just had my best ever June - Aug for

sales since I started trading in 2006 and Sept so far is better than last year.

I guess it depends on what you sell, and more importantly where you sell. Hence closing

my eBay shop over a year ago. Sometimes you have to take that leap of faith.

Having a you-tube channel for FREE advertising does help. Better not say anymore on that

in case the over zealous mod is watching.

Re: eBay sales dropped off a cliff

The last 5 weeks have been very poor. And as someone else has said, there seems to be a lot of IT faults recently. I myself have had over half of the details wiped from my inventory and am having to spend time adding them all back again.

Also in the last 10 days my view count has been seriously low.

Re: eBay sales dropped off a cliff

I’m really pleased you’re doing well. It really is encouraging to hear other businesses booming. You are right the wealth divide/gap is massive now. Poor vs rich and all that. We hope for a good Christmas run up but tbh I’m really not hopeful with the looming dire budget end of November. Not an ideal time to have a budget as people will be waiting to see how bad is it before buying expensive Christmas presents!

You’ve closed your eBay shop? I’ve clicked on your listings and your eBay shop is still very much open ?

Re: eBay sales dropped off a cliff

Yes I have a few oddments left, but I have closed the shop.

Just because someone lists, they do not need to have a shop. Just pay the 30 something pence

per listing rather than the monthly shop fee that I ended over a year ago.

Products that sell well on the website are not on here. Some top brands don`t want their products

on eBay / big river as it devalues them

Have about 10-11 oddments left on here PAYG , with nearly 500 on the website and climbing.

Take about 70 products to my public open days.
