Will the 'payout after delivery' apply to both business and private sellers?

Hi all.

Noob here. Go easy hehe.

Thinking to sell items from me existing tiny online business via ebay.  Lol all the grumbles aside - the bay has reach I can't yet get through ads/social etc.

I did get the notice about delivery after payment  - does this apply to business sellers also? Lol if so I'll have to reconsider. i.e an item may take 3-5 days to reach buyer and as a new account/ new business seller, I guess there'll be a 2 day hold (ahem processing time) - so 7 days after order. Wowza ouch - that'll hurt. That probably won't be realistic for me - will poo up cashflow majorly!

Any help and suggestions welcome.

Many thanks in advance 🙂

The new rules everyone is talking about here... Simple Delivery = tracking has to show delivery,  if not the payout is held for 14 days.  Tracking showing delivery , the payout is released 2 days after delivery shown.

The above is for Private Sellers only,  coming in anytime,  before the end of March.

The payout delay is part of the new buyer protection that comes in on the 4th February.   It does not apply to business accounts and there is also no buyer protection fee charged to buyers who buy from business accounts.
