I sold an item on my private account on 1st April. I purchased postage through eBay (not simple delivery) as a Royal Mail second class parcel. When the label was first printed it had the weight as zero. I was unsure how RM would deal with this so I voided the label and purchased another label with the correct weight. I got an email from eBay confirming the cancellation and although ambiguous did imply I would be refunded within 15 days.
I haven't received the refund. When I am in "track and manage your packages" it shows the label as being cancelled however in the dropdown at the left for more actions there is an option in there to contact RM for support?
So my question is who is responsible for the refund, eBay or Royal Mail?
I am new to purchasing labels from eBay as up until 31st March I had a RM business account.

As this wasn't Simple delivery and if you purchased the label through eBay / Packlink, this will explain how to cancel it as it was unused and receive a full refund. The refund is not always instant!
See if you followed this process:
Find your label with this link . https://www.ebay.co.uk/ship/
The refund will take between 5 - 21 days to process.

Thanks @tressygirl As I said I did void the label on 1st April and it is showing as a cancelled label. As I said also I got an email from eBay confirming the cancellation which said I would receive a refund within 15 days.
I just want to know who sorts out the refund as on the actions dropdown, there is an option to contact Royal Mail!

Hi @knit-in-styles , I believe as in most eBay messages if you read it again it says after a Review ( I think that's the word or something similar) it says a refund will be made in 15 days. So my estimates and others have confirmed, it can take up to 21 days for a refund to appear back to you.
You may need to wait another few days !
eBay are not that quick on their feet to make some refunds ! 😶

Purchased three ‘letter’ labels this morning. They put the weight as 1g, so had to repurchase. Won’t bother claiming them back, but just a word of warning to everyone.

Oh no you should void them and claim. It is your money and although mine is only a small amount (£3.25) I am like a dog with a bone and l will not let eBay or Royal Mail away with it,

A label is valid for seven days. I think the 15+ days starts running when the label expires. As @tressygirl says, it takes 3+ weeks for the refund to appear. When the confirmation email drops into my inbox, the cancellation is so long ago it comes as a surprise.
