Web interpret has changed my returns policy to 60 days free returns

I'm sure they have no right to do this, my ebay settings are buyer pays and it is 30 days not 60.  I didn't consent to letting them change my returns policy to 60 days free returns.  Is anyone else seeing this?

I've randomly viewed a few of your listings and they all state a 30 day return window with the buyer paying for return postage.

Where are you seeing 60 days; is it a particular eBay site like Italy or Germany?

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

I just had a return from a German buyer and the item said 60 days free
return. After research it says online that we interpret are applying it.

Ah, this is something to do with Webinterpret Returns:

"Note: 60-day free return policies are activated by default for domestic Performance plan subscribers, as they have historically delivered the highest sales growth. You can change your return policy at any time."

So it looks like it is a setting that you need to change within Webinterpret. Looking at a few of your listings on eBay.de they still seem to show 30 day returns and buyer pays so I'm not sure how it works.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

This was the item, I have just had to refund the buyer rather than accept the return which would have cost a fortune for a tracked return.   I don't remember agreeing to this.  I have changed my settings in webinterpret, it is still showing as 60 days free returns now but may change.   I first new about this when a buyer wanted to return a doesn't fit item and I was being asked to provide a label.

This is the uk listing, buyer pays 30 days has been translated to seller pays 60 days.  No increase in sales to Germany lately, I think this was my only recent customer, so the return policy has not improved sales for me.

I see it now - Webinterpret creates translated listings that are only available on the target eBay website. That's why looking at your (UK) listings on eBay Germany didn't show the problem.

I doubt there is anything you can do about it now other than turn "Webinterpret Returns" off. The "Free returns" element is mentioned twice in their "Getting started" section along with a link to the FAQ for Webinterpret Returns.
