Hoping ebay notice this and enact some sort of seller protection against INR's and defects - highlighting the following information from Royal Mail:
Import Processing
Poste Italiane have informed us that they have been experiencing technical issues since the 22nd March 2025
As a result, the processing of items from outside the EU has been suspended since the 4th of April to prevent the risk of Import information being lost. Processing will be restarted as soon as possible, but delays are to be expected for items that require electronic customs declaration until normal service resumes.

That's a pain as I posted a box of stuff off to Italy on 2nd April.
Thankfully they are a regular buyer and hugely laid back. So hopefully they won't be fussed.
(No doubt eBay will have us covered) !!!

Exactly the same, shipped an item to Italy and was wondering why it had not shown up yet.

Royal Mail has updated the status to:
"Potential Delays
Please note that customers currently using our services to Italy may experience a temporary delay. We are continuing to export as normal however are aware of extended processing times locally at present. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide further updates as they become available."
kat@ebay - there has been no update on the announcement board or anything. Surely seller protections need to kick in, we have an INR through no fault of our own on this.

I have had an item held in Italian customs since 23rd April. The buyer has started a dispute (understandably) that I need to resolve as time is about to reach the point where they can escalate. Looks like I am going to have to take the hit

I blocked Italy years ago, items simply weren't arriving or taking months, their post is the worst in Europe.

I shipped an item to Italy last week and it arrived yesterday, a very happy buyer and nice positive feedback, the only problem is the tracking info still has it as stuck in customs, and not delivered. I have another item sent over a month ago, which is similarly showing as stuck in customs, but I also believe has been delivered finally.
It is obvious that tracking is not working properly in Italy at the moment with Poste Italiana... surely ebay Seller Protections need to kick in now? kat@ebay katie@ebay
