There apparently is a glitch that Ebay are investigating whereby sold items are still appearing in Active Listings in Seller hub. I only noticed because I tried to use sell similar on an item I had recently sold and it wouldn't let me list because it was saying it was a duplicate listing. I then checked other items that I had recently sold and they are also still showing in Active Listings in Seller Hub. I have contacted customer support and they are currently investigating this. The items are not showing if you search your shop just in Active Listings in Seller Hub.

Can you end them?
What "Available Quantity" is shown?
Is it different to what you saw before?
I seem to remember there is some option whether to end sold items or keep them active with available quantity =0. I'll try and find it. I may be wrong. I'm a private seller which may be different.
And it could well be a glitch, as you say.

They aren't bulk listings just individual items. All items that have sold since 27th May are still appearing in my active listings on seller hub. If I click on them they say this item sold on such and such a date yet it is still showing as active. Ebay have confirmed that it is some sort of problem and are looking into it.

I've just been through a stock take, on four business accounts - of well over 2000+ unique items - after realising that something was awry when 6 orders on one account were of items already sold - sold while we were on holiday - fortunately we had 4 identical items, and the buyers of the two other were very understanding. We had over 100 sold items listed. Nightmare!
On the same account I had a buyer who had counter offered on 6 items, all counter offers accepted. But the items didn't show as sold so I couldn't send a combined invoice. The buyer couldn't pay for the items individually. And these sold items was still live. I don't have the authorised payment option active - at the same time offers sent were being accepted and incoming offers were being accepted and paid for as normal. Ended up doing a job lot listing.
On another account it took 10 attempts well over 24 hours to have a bracelet listed on one of my accounts to come live -showing live on the account, item number of course, but wouldn't show on customer's account nor any of our other accounts. And this was an item with a buyer patiently waiting for me to sort out so she could buy and get combined postage with the other three items she had bought. In the meantime was able to list other items with no issues.
Its taken me 7 days, working til midnight every day, to sort this all out. So that's a long week that I could have spent doing something far more productive. It was a fantastic holiday - now I need another one!
And I'm frankly amazed how patient my buyers have been.

I think it began a little while before - though you can only guage from the dates items are sold.
Certainly a nightmare - it took a whole week to sort this out - I do periodic stocktakes on all my accounts - so at least they are done for this month, but a heck of lot harder than usual.
One of the buyers whose order I couldn't fulfill said he had been having the same problem, except his buyers weren't as understanding and a couple called him a liar. Hard enough to sell on here these days without having upset customers.
One the other hand, I've had a surprisingly good week of sales, and sales on all accounts - May to August are normally pretty dead - I think all that work on the accounts did something to stimulate sales. When life gives you lemons ..........

You need to go to settings and make sure "Listings stay active when you're out of stock" is off.

Thanks for the suggestion. It hasn't worked though. I'll have to delete them from active listings until Ebay resolve it.

Ebay now appear to have resolved this issue
