Hi,
Appreciate there has been conversations on here but i can't find anything definitive. A few questions if anyone can help.
Business seller, NOT private seller
1. Can i opt out of simple delivery full stop?
2. If so, can i bulk edit all listings to remove this option?
Thank you
Simon

SD doesn't yet apply to business sellers.

Ok that may explain a few things then. Thanks for the reply

A few business sellers are reporting that they've found SD on some of their listings. Only noticed when a sale occurred. Not yet had it happen on my listings.
I wonder if changing the weight to 10kg for a T-shirt, will persuade buyers to go with my RMtracked48 £3.39 postal offering. Or is my postal option hidden and only SD is available?

When SD was being set up options for it did appear in the postage preferences on some business accounts. I found it in mine and blocked Evri just in case. The community team posted to say it was a glitch and the SD option has since been removed from my postage preferences.

I have just posted a new thread as I have sold an item on my private account for which I had the postage as a Royal Mail parcel. eBay have converted this to Simple Delivery so all I have to do is print the label. Easy eh..... erm no, I have printed the label which eBay have dictated and it is a large letter up to 750g. This is an item of clothing which weighs 210g and it is too thick for a large letter.
I have no idea what happens with this now. Oh and I did have the weight in the listing.

I would imagine that they require sizes as well.
As to what to do with it, no idea. Best speak to support I think.

In these circumstances are buyers seeing all postal options and picking the cheapest one - 2nd large letter without any thought. You'd like to think that a seller lists something as a parcel then the buyer would only see parcel prices, but then this is ebay.

I've just been having a look at a few different private sellers.
Postage options seem to be fairly set.
You can upgrade of course to tracked etc if you wish, but it must come down to size/weight on the listing as to what is actually offered. Though I must admit, I cannot find any that are obviously wrong.
Though I'm sure that there are.
