People may not know this, if your item sold and listed with the simple delivery option. You can not make any changes to the Postal service or change the time from 48 to 24 or even try to see the buyers address. Not possible!
The only way is to Cancel the listing and select Custom postage from the Ebay App. ( not using a pc). Also ebay will not refund the simple delivery label cost if the seller chooses not to use it if a listing is not cancelled and the seller some how uses their own postage label without cancelling the sale. (Ebay have become very unfair platform now)

"seller here have very little knowledge about SD but choose to comment."
Because as a business we don't have to use it, why would we learn it? as many have said before, this is a better convo for elsewhere, where it's already been done to death

LOL papso, you know as well of hundreds of sellers this is another rip off.
You must be totally blind or not very well educated to think ebay are making SD simple for everyone.
Tell me this, why won't ebay show the buyers address until the seller has purchased a delivery label?
Please give a suitable answer if you are able, thanks

"The only people really complaining about this from what I have seen, are either sellers who should be using business accounts, or long term sellers that simply don't like change."
I'm a long standing seller, so as your comment refers to me, I must correct your misunderstanding. It's not that I "simply don't like change"; it's change for the worse that I object to, which IMO Simple Delivery is. Multiple people have posted that they also find SD is a change for the worse, and not all of them are long term sellers.

eBay have stopped private sellers from using their custom postage for the following reasons.
Sellers used to add maybe a £1 to cover postage and packing materials which is fine, no buyers really complained about that. Are you with me so far Simpson?
eBay want that £1 of the seller, and if you can, work this out millions more pounds in eBay's share holders accounts.
Someone has to pay for Strawberry's and cream at Wimbledon for eBay staff and share holders.
That's you and I and everybody else on eBay.
No address at point of shipping mmmmmmmmmmmmm Why?
Come on laddy you're not that daft, are you?
eBay is a business just like all utility billing juggling to see how much more they can scrape from the small man, and YOU agree with them? Wow you really aught to adjust your brain.

They say that in reply to anyone who complains about anything, but usually to private sellers on SC.

'They say that in reply to anyone who complains about anything, but usually to private sellers on SC.'
What a ridiculous sweeping statement.
'They' are usually business sellers who do their homework before commenting where it is so obvious that a private seller is trading by selling multiples of brand new goods and undercutting businesses selling similar items.
And by saying they reply to 'anyone', is incorrect.
But then again, you continuously jump on a thread to stir it up even though you no longer sell on Ebay but promote E*sy whenever you can as this is where you sell.
For a lot of business sellers, this is our livelihood and we rely on our sales to pay the bills. We can do without your constant mission to spread negativity across the site.

And I see that you have now started a habit of quoting me, but not even bothering to reply.
You don't even have any skin in the game, yet are constantly moaning about it. You don't work for Etxy do you?
And at that, posting on a business forum, when you didn't even sell as a business.
"they" don't do what your saying, you just like to twist things to your agenda.

I reply to posts that I think are worth replying to, including some that quote earlier posts that I wouldn't bother with.
Like many others who have stopped selling, possibly only temporarily while awaiting developments, I have every right to continue commenting on the unfolding situation on ebay. I will continue to do so on any of the publicly "open to all" boards just as you and many other business sellers do.
"They", meaning you in that context also seem to have some sort of agenda. Which always seems to involve some negative comment about private sellers.

I suggest that you actually read the posts, instead of thinking whatever it is that you think I'm talking about.
Not once, have I had a complaint about a regular private seller.
My beef, is with those who pretend to be private, yet are in reality business sellers.
Something that I have made no pretence of at all.
You even took the quote out of context. It was an observation that in the main, it is those sellers. I never said all by any means. Which you seem to think it meant.

I think that you might have dimensions incorrect as that is not what a standard tracked parcel is charged on Ebay.
I would love to know which post office is giving you a price of £2.85
That sounds very like the post office has made a mistake.
Online price for same parcel direct from RM, which is usually cheaper than Post offices is £3.35.
You may get better using one of the many parcel service providers.
