Not too bad for the services I use, 5 to 15p increases.
Even less reason to use 2ndSP over T48SP now, only 5p difference.
T48LL up 5p but now covers up to 1kg.
Tracked compensation reduced to £75 though.
Our online prices (valid from 6 October 2025)
I generally only list items that fit in the parcel postboxes, but may have some bigger items to list soon.
Can T48 items not be dropped off at a post office?
I've noticed a new parcel locker fairly near me, might have to use that for bigger T48 items.

Royal Mail’s price increases would be easier to accept if they weren’t happening with such frequency. Soon sending a Tracked 48 SP will cost over £4. Ofcom have been useless in keeping Royal Mail’s pricing in check.

I find RM the most expensive service for the worst tracking information.
Even as a customer Ill get a text with a 4hr window of delivery, which is hit and miss if they stick to that - if I select "redeliver" as Im going to be out, they always ignore it and leave on the doorstep!
Unfortunately they are no better than other couriers but people have a perception that they are, so get away with it.
I used to have a business account a few years ago but they started helping themselves to money in my bank (well over £100 a month) claiming I had incorrectly weighed and underpaid - and also fined me for the privelege so closed that and only use them now for Large letters, Parcels over 1kg and any Scottish & Islands.
I sent a parcel RM48 Tracked last week and tracking didnt move from the post office (it was worth quite a bit) - I popped into the same post offce asked if he had possibly left it on the back shelf or fallen out of a bag, his answer was "They really short staffed so most likely not scanned it" - He added that the collection postie also added that they only have collection and delivery staff so tracking inbetween is being missed!
Someones making some money or wasting it in RM.

Yes, T48 (Tracked 48) items can be dropped off at a Post Office, but only if the label says “Post Office accepted.” If it’s a Royal Mail Tracked label that doesn’t, then it has to go via a parcel postbox, parcel locker, or Royal Mail Customer Service Point.
The new lockers are handy for larger items—just check the size limits. For your smaller listings, sticking to parcel postboxes makes sense, but the lockers will give you more flexibility for the bigger stuff.

It looks like the labels bought via eBay don't have “Post Office accepted.” on them.
I need to try out the locker just to see how it works, it could be handy if there's a problem with a parcel postbox. The parcel boxes quite often get blocked with packages that are too large (so far I've always managed to clear them). One box had a broken flap although it could still be used up until it was fixed.
I've used parcel boxes for Special Delivery but I think the lockers aren't supposed to be used for SD.
