Once again eBay not following their own policies and randomly removing items.

Business seller here - posted a thread a few months ago about eBay not following their own policies and then hanging up on me whenever I tried to discuss it. This for was randomly removing listings for no good reason

They are continuing with this pathetic action yet again today. This, for an item I sold a week ago and have already posted. Removed my money and have taken it for no reason.

Ebay keep insisting graded banknotes are only allowed from reputable companies, which I completely understand however none of items are graded nor is the word ‘graded’ mentioned at any point. As I said eBay will not entertain a discussion about it and just insist the AI is working when it clearly isn’t. I should add that each time it claims this was generated by a user report and reviewed by an agent (who doesn’t understand policies clearly). Which means it’s another malicious seller doing this but eBay wont protect me. On appeal it’s rejected each time. Just another example of eBay not appreciating the sellers that make them 100% of their money. Disgusting attitude from eBay yet again. Be honest and admit when you’ve made a mistake? I can’t understand why they refuse to see this.

In the item specifics are you specifying "Ungraded" in the "Grade" item specific?

Yes I believe ungraded is the default unless otherwise selected. That still doesn’t explain how an agent looked at it and still thought that was the case and even after submitting more information and explaining clearly it also failed on appeal. Meaning apparently 2 humans looked at it and yet still proceeded regardless whether correct or not.

eBay representative also said they aren’t allowed to tell me why which seems bizarre as how am I to prevent policy violations if I don’t know what one was actually broken? All very strange and unprofessional from eBay

The default is a blank box; i.e. nothing is selected. I have just randomly looked at five of your listings and none of them have the "Grade" item specific defined (it seems to be specific to banknotes). This item specific might be how you tell eBay the banknote is ungraded.

Also, the policy involved appears to be the "collectable currency policy". The policy has a single rule:

"Listings for current, exchangeable, ungraded currency from any country worldwide cannot exceed £1,000 in value, whether in a single listing or in a combination of multiple listings."

The policy isn't clear whether £1,000 relates to the face value of the currency or the selling price; I suspect the latter. So, if you have 5 separate listings for US banknotes the total selling price of all 5 listings cannot exceed £1,000. Are your listings also compliant with this slightly odd rule?

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.
