I have been purchasing postage via Ebay rather than my click and drop account but when items go missing how do you submit a claim?
More and more stuff seems to be going missing? Tracking is very slow to update if it does, yet everything now is supposed to be tracked?

You need to use RM's online claim form.

Are you checking the tracking on eBay, Royal Mail's website or both? The tracking shown on eBay can lag behind what is shown on Royal Mail's website; it is a known current issue. Before doing anything always check what the tracking states on Royal Mail's website first.

You can make a claim here.

Persevere, they will do everything they can to refuse the claim.
I had 3 items recently I handed in to my local sorting office. I knew the staff member and we chatted a while. None were delivered. After the claim I was told "these items were not posted". I appealed and I asked them to speak to the staff member in my sorting office and she will verify I did hand them in. The appeal was rejected but it also gave me an option for an independent appeal which I then went on to do and third time lucky they fully refunded me and a little bit of compensation too.
