Good morning,
My main selling account was restricted by ebay on Tuesday afternoon and then unrestricted a few hours later as there was actually no problem with it. I was told by ebay customer services that my listings would reappear in the searches within 24hrs. This hasn't happened. My listings still aren't showing (1500+) 3.5 days later so I'm missing out on lots of business at a really busy time of the year for me.
I have spoken to ebay by phone, live chat and email and can't get a straight answer from them re the above problem. Has anyone else had a similar issue and if so did you have any luck getting it resolved?
Thanks

Gosh, what an absolute pain!
I cannot offer any advice as a fellow seller but I can say that you currently have 98 listings for various pieces of fishing tackle visible from my account

Did eBay ask you to change your account to a business account, out of interest?

Is your main selling account of 1500+ listings like this secondary selling account; that is, selling new items?
If so have you been asked to provide your National Insurance Number (NINO)? If you have been asked for your NINO and you don't provide it then your account will be restricted until you do.
What did the email state when your account was originally restricted? This should give you the reason or at least an indication of the problem.
Finally, don't believe what eBay customer services tell you - "I was told by ebay customer services that my listings would reappear in the searches within 24hrs" - they only tell you what you want to hear.

OP has only sold 26 items so far. Once they sell 4 more items and pass the 30 items sold threshold, then eBay will ask for the National Insurance number for HMRC sales data reporting.
CS do lie about restoring listings though.... OP will have to re-do their listings manually, as eBay won't reinstate them. Luckily OP is a private seller, so only selling off their own unwanted items, so its not as if they are a business that could suffer loss of profits.

You are looking at this 'minor' account. The OP has a major selling account which he refers to with over 1500 listings currently restricted. This other account is also referred to by a buyer in the OP's feedback on his 'secondary' account.
To identify the cause of the restriction on his 'major' account the OP needs to provide more information.

I thought that was this account we were talking about?
He said 1500 listings were ended by eBay and not reinstated

Sorry but I don't think you will get much sympathy on here - 137 visible now, all brand new and mostly high value, and trading (against ebay policy, and illegally by UK law) as a 'Private' seller. Your comment 'so I'm missing out on lots of business at a really busy time of the year for me' doesn't suggest a private seller either.

Where do you see 26 items sold? for me it says 2.5k items sold.
I doubt we shall see the OP again though sadly but I'd be interested in why the account was restricted, I think we can all see the obvious but if it was for that then they shouldnt be able to relist without changing.

The problem is with my main account, not the limericklady2011 account. It has been trading on eBay for 17+ years as a business seller and has over 1.1m sales but this doesn’t seem to count for anything when dealing with customer services! The eBay trust and safety team have told me that the account was restricted because one of my staff members had a problem with his private account and as we were using the same IP address they assumed we were the same person which was totally incorrect. In fairness to eBay once I’d explained the situation they unlocked my account but as of 10 mins ago my listings are still not showing up in searches. I can use the account as usual but whatever I do to its listings (create, amend etc) none of them appear. I’ve so far lost three and half days of trading so far 😡😡

It's been known about for as long as i can remember, anyone screwing up on the same IP address or family with a bad account has this outcome.......Surprised you got your account back at all.

For all of the delisted listings are they in your unsold and can you just relist? Please note if you have multiple variations you are kinda screwed as it reverts back to the original number. Also any linked accounts via names/addresses/IP's are now marked so any policy breaches will affect all the accounts, its to try and stop people having multiple private accounts when they are a business or multiple scamming accounts, not saying you are btw just why eBay link.

Completed listings
2.5K sold might not be for the last financial year, which is all HMRC will be interested in, obviously unless they find issues

You may find that eBay will reverse that decision in the near future as if someone using an IP address is suspended the ban is supposed to apply to all accounts, regardless of association or not.
It is almost impossible to get the ban lifted, so you were lucky but they may realise it was done in error and shut your account down again anyway. Don't keep all your eggs in one basket is my advice, as you can be shut down overnight with no redress.
