Checking my late delivery defects I notice one that was outside of my control but eBay have not removed it as they normally do.
Sent by Tracked 48 and delivered late. This was down to poor Royal Mail performance in the lead up to Christmas.
I despatched on time and was collected by Royal Mail on the same day. The first initial 'Item Received' scan was by Royal Mail approximately 24 hours after they collected the item.
I take it the issue is that it looks like I sent it late but it is normal with Business post for a Tracked 48 item to have its first initial 'Item Received' scan the day after you despatch it.
So are eBay expecting Tracked 48 items to have a scan on the day of despatch to avoid late defects? It is fine if you are dropping off at a post office but no good with a business collection.
