Anyone else getting a spike in INR cases, seems to be a heck of a lot this winter, far more than normal.

Not really, but then nearly everything I send is tracked.

But it is generally the same this time of year, everyone realising that they have spent far too much over Christmas and payday a couple of weeks away still.

So looking for freebies etc....

Yes I have.  I don't think it's down to people wanting freebies though. I have a couple of orders way overdue from reliable sellers.  In my case it's down to Royal Mail not being fit for purpose.  Not their workers, their managemet.

Yep have 3 so far today, and there all from like 2 weeks ago. So thats frustrating, seems like royal mail is not bothering to even deliver to some parts of the country. I totally understand the weather situation but with no allowances from ebay, i can't afford to just process refunds due to ebays continuing inability to adjust there delivery times or accept royal mail has issues.

I also send everything tracked but have noticed i am getting SNAD cases where the buyer says they want a refund but also to keep the item (they make it sound as if they are doing me a favour).    Until recently it was very very rare that we got any SNAD case.

Tonight i sold a couple of items and the buyers paid immediately.   Straight after one auction ended i got a message offering me £10 more than the final sale price !      I fear that account is a hacked one 😞   Straight onto my blocked buyer list.

I refuse to play silly games with any buyers.

Same every time the weather is bad etc, and ebay are behind the curve.

xmas time is usually very busy for couriers.

Add to that the weather problems and the jobs a bad one.

I use RM and lost one parcel in 17 years.

Loads. I’m guessing it’s due to the terrible weather affecting postal services

I wouldn't mind if it was just down to the weather which is perfectly understandable. I have become a bit tired of regularly having no post for a week then getting a large pile of it all in one day. Mind you, I do get a free elastic band they use to keep it all together 🙂

Im having loads too.

I`m getting items sent on the 6th just arriving now.

Royal Mail have been better then last year but seem to be struggling at the moment.

Getting a few as well now. RM Tracked 48 is taking about 7 working days to be delivered.

Xmas and bad weather is not helping.

Quick update, I actually got my orders I was waiting on this afternoon which was lovely. I also got my free elastic band holding them all together with all the other overdue post.

I really do understand that the weather can hold things up but 10 days overdue. Unless I missed something, the rest of the country didn't grind to a halt.

I am absolutely swimming in them....but then that's not the only swimming I've done in recent weeks as last week my town flooded severely due to bad weather. (National news etc)

Royal Mail are also absolutely useless. Can't wait for the Czech guy to take over. It has been poorly managed for years.

On a more serious note, I have noticed that some post from 6th Jan was delivered yesterday and today (13th/14th Jan), so hopefully they are cutting through it. When I asked RM told me there was no backlog...

Spoke to someone I know at RM.  There is currently a backlog and they are prioritizing parcels.  But working through the backlog.

But it does tend to be the way of it, Letters have been an issue for quite some time now.

I sent 100's of letter sized cards during November and December and not one INR.

I did however get a tracked 48 INR this morning for an item due the 6th of January!

This is happening to me too (as a seller).

Incidentally, I'm expecting a parcel delivered to me via Parcel Force. It's at the delivery depot (arrived Monday evening). It's current status is "The addressee has requested a future delivery date. Delivery will be scheduled for this date" but this is not true. I suspect that someone is unable to meet their delivery targets and has done this themselves to sweep it under the rug. I've heard of similar issues with Royal Mail and others driving past recipients without attempting to deliver and sometimes marking addresses as "inaccesible" when they aren't.

I believe Royal Mail lie about their status/metrics and the former CEO lied to MPs when he was called for questioning.

Yes, the same.  The week of ice and snow has hurt Royal Mail delivery performance more than Christmas.  I wonder if ebay will announce seller protections for this period.   They often take a few weeks to advise retrospectively on these topics.

Yes, way more than normal. eBays ETAs are not helping either and it doesn’t matter what you change your delivery service to it fails to change the ETA. I have 3-5 days service with 1 day handling and eBay are stating free 2/3 day delivery on my items!

Have you noticed ebays new arrives in 1 to 3 days filter?  If you're relying on RM good luck with that lol

I’ve had two this week alone but only 6 in the whole of the last 12 months

one has arrived since but it had taken 2 weeks to arrive. The other one was a standard parcel and the tracking indicated that delivery hadnt been attempted  so I will have to open a claim with RM for that but I have already refunded the buyer.   That was a large parcel so I’d love to know how you can lose a parcel that size
