INR INCREASE SINCE ROYAL MAIL CHANGED DELIVERY SCHEDULE TO EVERY OTHER DAY

Hi  i have received 4 item not received in 2 days. All second class letter and large letter..  

I had a moan to my regular postie and she advised all letters{1st and 2nd} ,normal and large are being deliberately left to sort until packages have gone out then only delivered other 3 days{management decision}..{Stockton on tees DO}..

Any body else ?.

I have had 4 INR this week and I reckon it's only going to get worse. Mind you, it doesn't help when some buyers open an INR on a Tuesday when they only placed their order on a Friday afternoon and they had selected 2nd class delivery.

What's grinding my gears is that eBay know this is happening and are looking the other way. Spiral and downward spring to mind.😡

Although RM say they are going to keep 1st/RM24 on a next day delivery service and move 2nd/RM48 to every other day - I have it on good authority that its all going to be every 2nd day and RM will pay the usual fines come the end of the year to UKGov.  We've only been seeing our postie once every 2 days for several weeks now unless there is a next day delivery and everything comes at once. 1st/2nd/RM24/RM48.

They *may* delivery every day to these new post boxes that they are championing where you pick up your mail yourself.

Hence my thoughts on why eBay are not being proactive on delivery dates !
Is it because the team believe it is working as intended!

I spoke to eBay this week as I purchase Royal Mail Large Letter postage on eBay as a "tracking number" is shown which means that delivery is recorded.  I have 19 orders sent in June which are not showing as delivered but no claims for non-delivery from those customers and most have left feedback.  It was suggested that I should send a message to all the customers where delivery has not been confirmed to ask them if they have received their order!

Working as intended...if i had a pound every time the chat team spout this rubbish i would have £762 .😠

If your INRs increase then ebay will put your payouts on hold for 30 days like they have for us. Its going to really affect business sellers if their INRs increase to either 'high' or 'very high' metric. I hope everyone is prepared as to what will happen with this royal mail decision. And you will lose top rated seller status due to late deliveries. Not sure how ebay are going to play this one?

From royal mail.. Under the new system, second-class mail will be distributed on alternating schedules: either Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, or Tuesdays and Thursdays, following a two-week rotation.

So the team will need to work out the Estimated delivery info..God help us

So if a buyer orders Friday evening and I posted next working day (which is Monday) and it takes 2 days to get to the buyers delivery office, depending on when it arrives, it could be delivered Wednesday, or Thursday if thats their Tuesday/Thursday delivery week, but if it didnt arrive at the delivery office in time on the Wednesday to be delivered that day (if that is their delivery week - Mon/Wed/Friday), it could be delivered on the Friday. 

So the EDD should be order on Friday (past cutoff) and it could be delivered Wednesday, Thursday or Friday - and that is even with the delivery date of 2 days.

Now bearing in mind that our posties have been on a 2 delivery cycle for weeks even with 1st class - unless its guaranteed, 1st class post could literally be in the same boat.

It's gonna be chaos.

I predict that eBay will do absolutely nothing regarding this change as their EDDs are already fantastical but the staff continue to trot out the 'working as intended' mantra.

I would say no announcement could be made, because the EDDs aren't accurate in the first place and secondly eBay dont follow RM dates anyhow as 1st, 2nd and next day delivery can all be on the same day according to eBay. 

Even if eBay wanted to make an announcement, eBay couldn't accurately gauge a delivery estimate because RM wont announce which delivery schedule is in effect for each area (M/W/F - T/Th) so any EDD eBay announce would be, at best, a 50/50 gamble.

It is chaos already..1st class and  2nd class letters and large letters are being lumped together as my post lady eloquently put it...being going on for over 8weeks in Teesside trial  ..

I’m also with Stockton on tees DO. All my mail is still being collected from my house. But hardly any received.
