How can I remove defects please.

At christmas I had a power outage for 3 days and had to cancelled a few orders due to not being able to bake the items.

Are these the defects that have made my account below standard?

After they had chosen.

I did not realise the impact it would have on me when cancelling/refunding as I had asked them I obviously chose the wrong option not "customer requested cancel"

You cannot imagine the panic and stress at the I had. I may as well have been in a flood zone. So I have to just get on with it coming back 6 months later to bite me, there's nothing I can do.

Re: How can I remove defects please.

Ah well, at the very least you now know for the future.

But trust me, most of us have been in similar situations at some point.

All you can really do at the end of the day, is dust it off, then get on with it.....

Do look for something that you can sell quickly though.  Small and cheap is what you need.

Maybe something like cake decorations?  Anything that you can pick up at the local wholesalers will work.

But the quicker you can dilute the issues, the quicker you can get your ratings back.

Re: How can I remove defects please.

Thanks for all the replies. It's helped put it into perspective.

I've got rid of the shop subscription and changed my postage policy too.

This will save some money too.

I'm going to do some small item auction type sales which will hopefully help.

Cake/cookie version of the Mills and boon sale idea 😆

Re: How can I remove defects please.

The shop is only worth subscribing to once you hit about 70 listings.

There are very little other advantages to it to make it worthwhile otherwise.

Re: How can I remove defects please.

You probably know this already but in case not, Instagram have a big Coeliac community and you can get a good following there.

Re: How can I remove defects please.

When I read your original post I couldn't begin to visualise how awful. I knew transferring to other premises, as has been suggested by someone, at short notice would be difficult or impossible, moving umpteen things, sorting out food storage, using a different oven (don't ovens just have their own idiosyncracies). Also, when you don't know how long you won't have power, moving would, even if you could do it, be a tremendous investment to make. Not to mention the stress. And now I've learned from you about public liability insurance and hygiene requirements. Sounds like you coped as well as you could with a very difficult situation.

Commercial platforms like eBay should cut some slack in these rare situations.

Re: How can I remove defects please.

Thanks for understanding. Not many seem to grasp the situation.

I'm also all over the Instagram and Facebook, and any coeliac related pages and groups. 😁
