I am very dissatisfied with Ebay customer service advisors.  I would like to make a complaint and would like to know how to do this?

In my state I didn't think it was possible to genuinely pity another person.

 

You really do believe ...

 

I HAVE NOT SOLD 48 ITEMS IN 4 MONTHS

 

DESPITE THE FACT THAT THIS IS FALSE INFORMATION IT IS ALSO NOTHING TO DO WITH THE QUESTION

 

People come to this forum because in the main they are having difficulty making eBay understand something important. In many cases they are desperate. 

 

They don't normally come here first. This is a last resort. It is a request for support.

 

I know nothing about forums. I get an email from eBay community (which it isn't) and click through the link. 

 

I had no intention of adding my problem to this area of the forum. I appologise to the person who asked the initial question here. 

 

However, although my problem is not important in comparison there is obvious similarities. Neither of us can make any sense of eBay customer services. They don't actually look into the issue. They fob

 

Business seller 

 

Now I've done some research on this. 

 

It is almost as though eBay are laughing at business sellers. Perhaps too strong but it's quite obvious that a correctly set up eBay business should have strong advantages over private sellers masquerading as genuine businesses. It appears they don't. I'm not sure what impact this has on business sellers?

 

As a business sellerI would be angry that eBay allow just about any kid to come along and take away my sales. And easily- no skills required. No management required and virtually no effort required. 

 

It seems unfair

 

But to blame these private sellers is ridiculous. 

 

This is a problem eBay need to address. They could stop it easily. At least level the playing field by making it clear to buyers which sellers are operating a true business. Someone suggested not allowing private sellers to use the 'NEW' tab as an option. That would work but eBay would lose so much business. No chance of them doing that.

 

Right now you have multiple private sellers listing thousands of new products. They are on to a winner!  They no doubt see it as a job. BUT I'm not sure how many would have slightest inclination they were doing anything wrong.

 

Probably mighty proud of themselves ... and encouraged by eBay to sell more and more. 

 

So yes I would be angry but certainly not with private sellers. 

eBay not only allow this but encourage people to do it.

 

When I started to sell new items I asked eBay first. It was explained to them that I had no intention of running a business. I also mentioned that certain individuals on the eBay community said this was not allowed. Their WRITTEN response will shock some of you (I'm itching to paste it in but won't). eBay simply said not to take any notice of these people. They don't know what they are talking about.

 

That's me putting it nicely

 

In other words... If you have no interest in the question being asked. Mind your own business or

The betting odds against getting a reply are 9 - 2, the odds against being put through to the right person who has the authority to settle this beef with eBay is 12-1, some might offer 15-1, shop around and you might get 25-1, the odds against settling your problem with eBay soon is 15-1.  Please try and understand if eBay employed staff to answer problems and settle PRIVATE disputes this would put them out of business within 3 months.  You have the County Court to aid you, but that will take 9-18 months before it ever appears before a Judge.

FAFCOM:  You are 100% correct, in order to produce high profits eBay needs to control and trim costs, employing 500 office desk based complaint solvers would be a nightmare. What adds to the problem is some would have to be almost quasi-lawyers with an excellent command of written English, just finding these people would be a huge problem in itself. For comparison, I was thinking of sending a neighbor a warning letter, a local Solicitor wanted £750-00 upfront and a deposit of £1000,00 if we took him to Civil Court,  this neighbor knocked our wood and steel roof and doors  16 ft x 10 ft garage down whilst we were away and claimed it fell down, later he added a tree branch fell on it and collapsed it. Try to imagine the paperwork for this simple act of compensation recovery involves, he thought this garage was an eyesore which it was. A man with a temper. RW Leeds.

You are not talking to eBay here, you need to come back and read the replies to your posts and not put all your personal information on a public forum. 

If you have not received an item that you have ordered, read and use the eBay Money Back Guarantee, it is on every listing.

If that is what you have actually sent to customer services,  and not just posted on here, how and where did you send it?  Posting on here is not contacting eBay CS. 

 

And have you actually done any research to check you have been wrongly charged, and not just charged fees that you perceive as excessive?  EBay don't get their fees wrong, members usually just dont understand them.

 

When you contact ebay you have to give them all the facts in the first place, not just a screenshot of your payments.  So that means showing them what you should have been charged according to the fee policies, versus what you were charged.  What you were paid is largely  irrelevant as it is just a function of the fees, your complaint is about fees.

Ordered 2 items a body camera for £ 52.52p and a type writer ribbon for £6.99p received a email stating both items have been delivered on Wednesday 24th May 23 , then as I send a message to eBay that I haven't received no items they message me and say they might arrive later so why it it telling me your items have been delivered it makes no sense I would request a immediate refund back in to my account a s a p please.

Yòu are not communicating with eBay here. 

You need to use the money back guarantee, open a case and follow the set procedures.   However,  a flaw of the money back guarantee for buyers is that if the seller has tracking showing delivery you will lose the ebay case, whether you have the items or not.

I was unaware that the eBay Money Back Guarantee was flawed, insofar as it allows the seller-sender to escape liability for non-delivery if tracking shows it was delivered. This DROP AND GO  practice is used because self-employed drivers get pennies for each drop. For instance: We are always in (a disabled wife wheelchair user situation) many drivers never knock or ring our doorbell to save time they leave and go!  Google Searches reveal:

1. Who is responsible if a package is stolen? The retailer is responsible for delivering a parcel safely to you. If it's stolen, you should contact them to arrange a refund or replacement. But if you told the courier to leave your parcel in a safe place, then you're responsible for it going missing or being stolen.

 

What happens if package is stolen from my doorstep? USPS may reimburse you for stolen, lost or missing packages if the mail was insured. If your packages weren't insured, they likely won't issue a refund. Instead, you'll want to contact the seller. This holds for other delivery services, too.

Anywhere that eBay provides seller protection in the money back guarantee is a place where the buyer loses it.

 

Ebay says 'get your item or your money back', but we see frequent complaints from buyers where they get neither because tracking says delivered,  somewhere.

 

What the law says about responsibilities is another matter. The MBG doesn't override that and buyers always have the law to turn to.  It's just hard to enforce.
