My account was hacked, and almost £300 was charged for items I did purchased. These were supposed to have arrived today. Well not one item arrived..
I informed e-bay of what has happened, by phone, they assured me that they are on top of it!!
My account is debied, so I am several hundered pounds out of pocket.
There is no way you can find a way to to e-bay, to resolve such issues.
Very poor pratflom, in terma s of resolving such issues.
Buyer be aware.

Yeah generally a hacked account will not be to your advantage. Stuff ordered won't be to you. Be pretty pointless someone scamming you of hundreds of pounds to have you return the goods for a full refund.
You have scanned all your electronic devices you use for accessing ebay, changed all your passwords and used different passwords for different sites? Conputer security is down to you - your systems are much easier to hack than a big company's systems.
A common method of getting a hacked account is giving the hacker your login details or them buying the details on the other side of the web.
Worth checking if your logins are on the darkweb - some credit score sites offer such a service these days.
Never reuse a password and never use something other people can figure out you would use.
The money - that is for your bank to try and deal with bearing in mind they will know the common method is from you.
Some get a bit shirty about refunding in full what isn't their fault. Have known some to refuse altogether.

You need to ask the seller, and it would be a good idea to ask the moderators to remove your email address from your post.

You cannot make a complaint about eBay services, not even their own

*WHILST I am on here can I ask when my sales are promoted does anyone know
how and in what manner they are promoted,* may I ask surely eBay have a
duty to promote my sales without being paid an extra fee for doing so. It
seems wrong to me, for what it is worth my orders have totally collapsed,
if I promote I pick up orders, if I choose not to promote I get none, so
what's going on?
Ebay display your goods without extra money. They don't tell you how they will display them, page 300 is not going to get you many sales.
Paying extra to market your items? That's usually going to be in front of at least some customers no matter what page of the listings you are on.
Just like you can open a shop on the high street and wait for passing trade. Or also market your business to get people coming along to find you.
You'll pay extra for that marketing most of the time. 🙂

Your customer service was as much use as a chocolate teapot

Ruth, sorting things out costs over £14 per hour, and the paperwork is horrendous, Ebay cannot cope, Paypal is your best 2nd option and are reliable. Sorry. I forgot. eBay now undertake the financial side for handling refunds, so go back to option one. eBay parting company with eBay PayPal was a billion-dollar mistake.

Possibly you are ringing the wrong number. Easier to get them to ring you.
Email - generally you won't get a reply because its not monitored. And you won't usually get given a working email address.

I have spent over an hour on ebay trying to get to contact customer services by phone or email. It appears these methods of contact are no longer available and that ebay dont wish to speak to their customers regarding issues arising from purchases. I recently bought some designer footwear and the seller had to forward the item onto ebay for authentication. They affixed an authenticated label with wire attached to the shoe and forwarded on to me. When the shoes arrived they had been maked by the label wire rubbing on the shoe in transit.I contacted the seller who explained he had not sent the item direct as ebay required him to post them on to them for authentication to ensure they were not cheap copies of a designer product. I wished to keep the shoes but the options on the help section of ebay only allow for sending the item back, item not arrived etc. I made contact with ebay and the seller with photo evidence of the damaged shoes saying they had not arrived in an acceptable condition. i explained the information in this post in my communication . I received a reply from ebay today saying the case is closed and that the seller has proof of delivery. ? I was not claiming the item had not arrived , I was complaining that the item had arrived in an unacceptable condition and that the seller was adamant it was ebay who caused the damage not him. Can I claim under the money back guarantee. as I cannot get hold of ebay and the seller is not willing to accept responsibility so i cant return the item. Or do i just put it in the hands of a solicitor for the small claims court to deal with. This is not a very good company to deal with and customer services is none existent.

Today, I received a message from eBay to say my complaint had been resolved. That was very strange - as I'd not made a complaint. I only contacted the Customer Services Team via online chat with a query.
So maybe you can complain via online chat.

I agree, eBay do listen. Whenever you speak to eBay ask for the call reference number. It starts 1-...... Keep a record of all of these and the issue you called about - this is invaluable because they can refer back to that call. If possible, keep the name of the reps you've spoken to as well - I know this sometimes isn't easy, names are weird and wonderful and come with a multitude of spellings.
If you get a script reader in Manila, you have to ask to speak to a supervisor. Refuse to speak to the first person you've got on the phone and refuse to hang up. Just keep repeating "put me through to your supervisor". It does work....eventually. Alternatively, phone at 9am. Manila don't usually pick up the phone then and you can talk to someone who does more than read a script back at you.
Start the conversation with "I want to make a complaint" and quote the call reference number. Explain the situation, try to do it without getting emotional.
You may have to phone more than once to get the problem resolved or your complaint understood and acted upon but they will do it. You may not see any response to your complaint but it is noted and it is acted upon. I can't give details but one rep in Manila handled things so badly that a senior CS manager in Dublin spent over 2 hours fixing ensuing problems.
