Hi All
Yesterday I received an email concerning the return of an item which sold on Dex 19th. The item was a training AED ( Defibrilator ) which arrived next day and positive feedback left. 47 Days.
This email says he is covered under the money back guarantee, however their own rules state that it only covers 30 calendar days after receipt.
Their are options of response from simply declining the refund to partial refunds to full refunds.
Id just be interested in seeing what anyone who may have come across this might have an opinion on.

Your buyer may have been able to open a case but they will not be able to escalate , they are, as you rightly say out of time here to claim under eBay's 30 day MBG. The case will just time out and close after 30 days.
It's up to you if you wish to offer any refund this would be outside the eBay's case, but you are certainly not obliged to.

ebay messages are often a bit confusing and just quote the standard process. It is only 30 days and although buyers can still open a return they won't be able to escalate it and it will expire eventually.

They are not covered which is why you have the option to decline.
