Truth. You'll go on to better things. I was only a private seller for one year, but I stopped in January as it was already unworkable and I didn't agree with the changes. As some people on here love to say "You can always leave if you don't like it". Well, I didn't like it so I left. Best thing I ever did, because literally as soon as I stopped it felt like a huge relief and the dark cloud lifted. I also had some unbelievable good fortune soon after, so as one door closes another door opens. Glad I closed that door.

I only come on here now to see the mess and to marvel at how some people try to suppress others voices. But ultimately a forum means nothing. It's what people do away from here that matters. Word of mouth cannot be stopped. Trustpilot and other review sites cannot be stopped. We walk away and that cannot be stopped. Although, I think that is something which is encouraged. Either you become submissive or you leave.

I saw the writing on the wall a couple of years ago and closed the shop and delisted most of my items, so I've only got a few listings that I keep running for regular customers.

Rather sad - my turnover with eBay is around 5% of what it used to be, and that can't be blamed solely on the economy because the stuff sells on other platforms.  At one time, I intended eBay to be my only platform but, thank goodness, I spread my wings to other outlets when the decline commenced.

I'm planning a change.  I'm going to drop my main product line and concentrate on more creative, hand-made, items.  Maybe it will work, maybe it won't, but I'll be a much happier bunny.

Used to make a sort of living out of it until the Lockdown period.

I am closing my shop end of March and may or may not reopen it.

Still a lot of stock to list and sell on, but not much motivation

Don't get rid of that ID just in case, 27k feedback is not to be sniffed at! I feel for you, I really do. I was expecting to have to close as well before the end of the tax year but thankfully a few tweeks to the business has made it viable again.

NOW, this is a very sad time for me, Shane, all the very best for the future, I liked your honest style. you will be missed, I will not be far behind you as eBay has turned into the pits, it is pointless selling on here when eBay take the buyers side On a 1 feedback buyer!! and make me pay!!! 20 years on here myself but not a single word of that's from eBay it's just a cosh cow pure and simple. I get a tarnished account due to eBay's failures, this is so unfair!!!! eBay keeps counting the money until it runs out!!!
