Going back to a Private seller.

I effectively want to retire as I have numerous health problems. I had a featured shop for years and downgraded it to a Basic shop last year as I only had a limited stock left.

In a few months, it won't be worth having the Basic shop either.

I would like to just go back to being a private eBayer and be able to sell an occasional second-hand item of my own. I have heard this is impossible. Is this true?

P.S I have always been honest and declared tax. I'm not trying to get away with anything.

you cannot change a business account to a private account, but you can open a private account.

Yep, impossible to change a business account into a Private account.

However,  if you wish to now start selling second hand,  used items,  say a garage,  attic, wardrobe clearout,  no problem,  just open a new account.

You're allowed to have 2,  just use a new email address ,  and a new username for the new Private account.

Yes, as it would be a brand new account of different status,  that is,  a Private one.
