Ebay still killing off sales to the US

So this morning I was delighted to see the Blue Banner informing all US buyers that they will have to pay import duty if they purchase my items had gone. My joy was short lived however as when I checked the shipping details on each item this now appears

"Due to US customs policies, the buyer of this item will need to pay import fees to the shipping carrier prior to delivery.
Import fees:
Import fees due prior to delivery"

The  incorrect information has just been moved elsewhere on the listing.
So here we are in November, my sales to the US are non-exisistent . My items are exempt and no import tariff is due and I ship everything via Royal Mail PDDP but cannot indicate that I do , because its not one of the options available when creating a Postage Policy .
When will this be fixed ?

Out of interest, why are your items exempt exactly? My understanding was that the Trump tariffs were a catch all?

Re: Ebay still killing off sales to the US

My items fall under the original engravings or lithograph categories within the tariff codes which  I have now learnt do not attract a trariff. I did not realise this myself initially but having sold items to the US on other platforms and using Royal Mail PDDP I have found that no tariff is due and all items have arrived with customers in the US without any problems. There are other items as well, DVD's as  well I think and I'm not sure what else

Books, audio books, magazines, artwork, art prints, photos, records, CDs, cassette tapes. Royal Mail's PDDP service charges a 50p admin fee but there is no tariff.

Annoyingly, ebay are determinedly killing sales by lying to US customers. Even where there is a tariff, it has to be paid up front when sending.

Many thanks, then I can completely understand the frustration. I'm in the completely opposite boat, that everything I sell is made in China so has a minimum 30% on dependent on Trumps mood that day.
