Ebay's 1:1 Service for business sellers

Recently used ebay's 1:1 service for business sellers.  A very pleasant woman called me on time, and discussed various ways of improving ever decreasing sales., sent me an email with her suggestions, and told me to get in touch to discuss my - "Guaranteed" increases in sales.

One week later, I contacted 'Simone' @ 1:1,  informing her that even though I had tried improvements, nothing had changed.

Now 2 messages have been sent, to which they do not have the courtesy to reply.  I realise ebay's attempt to get rid of private sellers is working well with the Unsimple Postage Scheme, and Payment Protection at a Cost idea,  but seriously ebay - you need to look after the business sellers, before they also abandon the sinking ship

I had  similar issue, they are quick to get you promoting they they earn more from your sales, but as soon  you question things are not going as expected the support vanishes. I honestly think ebay are on the way out with the likes of Vinted etc
I've seen a year on year drop in sales of 65%

Yep, this seems about the way of it.

Signed up for their Pro Trader course last year. Lovely chap called every two weeks to give very, very basic information, then didn't show up for the final call. Never heard from him again.

Then I contacted their 1:1 Seller team as I needed guidance on GPSR. Booked for Feb 19th, rescheduled for March 5th, rescheduled again for Feb 24th. The lady on the call was very nice, but couldn't answer my questions. Said she knows someone who can and would get him to call me back.

Given it's now been two months, I don't think that's going to happen.

I honestly think ebay milking what they can before closing shop, if they
don't make some serious changes to the system there will be no decent
sellers left which means no buyers.

Re: Ebay's 1:1 Service for business sellers

Same here, contacted support, spoke to helpful agent in Dublin.  They sent a report of my sales, traffic information and areas to improve.  Even though informed them that my prices are being to the lowest price with buy it now they said I should have best offer added.  Keywords in titles are checked and then the only thing they advise is spend money on promoting.  When I questioned how they can guarantee 100% more traffic as that's an impossible thing to say they went quiet.  Replied back to their message, now week has past no reply to my message to them.

Is this the service business sellers are to expect now?

In other words it's a one-to-one promotion to persuade you to sponsor your ads.  --  give ebay more and earn less for yourself.

I particularly liked the bit about "Guaranteed sales increases".  What was it my old granny used to say "If it looks too good to be true..........

Re: Ebay's 1:1 Service for business sellers

Have only had 2 sales in the past 2 weeks nothing for nearly a week now - never seen it like this - wont even have enough in my funds to pay for my shop this month!  That tells you how bad it is used to make £500 + on second hand items years ago and has steadily dropped since Cassini took over in 2013.  Never had to pay for my shop out of my own money before!!

It’s oh so quiet schhh schhhh

it’s oh so still schhh schh

youre all alone

and so peaceful until

you hear that sound that you used to remember hearing several times a day ca ching. Now if I hear it once every 5 days I’m lucky. 1500 listings and just about covering fees and postage this month  I’ve got 50 on vinted and had two sales yesterday. I really think it’s a slippery slope we are all going down with on the eBay rollercoaster

Re: Ebay's 1:1 Service for business sellers

I had to have my phone on silent "main job" due to the amount of notifications coming in from ebay for sales, now its 2-3 a day if im lucky.

I think it's genuinely buyers shopping elsewhere or just not buying due to the financial state the world is in atm.

gone from £1k+ a week sales to 2-3 hundred if im lucky. time to look at other platforms I guess.
