EPR law coming into effect today

Just checking this one as I have just seen this on the news.

I am presuming this doesn't effect sellers who use packaging to sell to customers and is only for the actual makers of the packaging materials?

Yes, the .gov website clarifies it applies to: UK organisations that supply or import packaging.

That's great. I was dreading yet another cost to pay.

Do you not think that the Tax incurred by these suppliers will be passed on to the actual users of packaging?

ebay in effectively not allowing Combined Shipping adds to the costs felt by the sellers who ship - along with the buyers who have to duplicate or treble shipping costs, should they continue using this platform.

Only ebay make monies on this ill managed change they introduced to Simple Delivery.

Buyers, Sellers and the Environment are the losers.

It is any business (charities are exempt) that has a turnover of £1M or more that supplied or imported more than 25 tonnes of packaging in the previous financial year.

I'm pretty sure the vast majority of eBay sellers don't need to worry about it.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

"ebay in effectively not allowing Combined Shipping"

Combined shipping is definitely still allowed. This week I have sent combined invoices for auctions, BINs and a combination of the 2.

It is not possible when the buyer uses the Ebay app but is if they sign in via the website. I'm not 100% sure if someone signs in from a foreign site but the majority of my overseas buyers manage to request combine shipping.

There was a recent short thread on just this topic.
