How does a seller become elegible to appear on the daily deals tab?

First you become a PowerSeller, requirements include sales of £1000 per month. Then you need a large product inventory with a history of mass eBay sales. You must also have an eBay Account Manager, which is assigned to your account by eBay if they decide you qualify for the DailyDeals program.

You don't need an account manager btw, if you are invited onto a scheme eBay run they can put items forward but you will need sales on that item and quantity of at least 20. They also really like it if you are willing to give a nice healthy discount on the item.

The displayed price of £12 buys you only a waste fitting. The main title advertises a shower tray, no mention of a waste fitting. 

This practice is all over eBay, it is misleading and in my humble opinion is one of the reasons why buyers are drifting away from eBay.
