Confused new business seller

Hopefully someone here can help - I upgraded to business account yesterday and opted for a basic shop, which it seems gives 100 auction listings and 250 fixed price per month free, but I am being charged 18p per auction listing - fixed price are fine. The automated assistant is about as useful as a chocolate teapot, and I've had two calls from CS which have mysteriously terminated after 10 minutes or so.  I'm probably missing something obvious - can anyone advise?

Welsh Dragon is right. It should be free if you have paid a subscription for this month and are using 7 day auctions.

Contact ebay customers service and ask for a refund.

That's what I thought, but I tried an experimental 7 day listing and still paid the fee!

Thanks all, seems to be working OK now. I won't subject myself to the trauma of Ebay CS to recover 36p!

eBay is now run by a load of scammers, I did the same as you to start selling as a shop starting as a new business, using eBay as a trusted source a world wide company that it perceives to be. It seems it only wants traders that are larger than small businesses

For reasons only known to eBay! WHAT A JOKE my seller account is permanently  excluded and am not able to trade, yet I can still upload items to make sales! This is so eBay can withhold the funds to make interest off your earnings!! It’s disgusting  and legalised  theft!!

Save your hard earned cash and hassle and trust Amazon or Etsy or any other selling platform.

EBay puts itself on a pedestal only interested in well established businesses for easy money, eBay forgets they once started as a sole trader and lucky for them made it big, shame on you eBay for not giving the same to the vase majority!!

So I'm guessing that you tried to sell nicotine containing products without being authorised to do so.

In which case, why on earth would it be a surprise that they banned you?

Ebay does not want only established business.  That is utter rubbish and you are quite clearly upset from you perceive as to being eBay's problems, when they are in fact your own.

Many small sellers started on Ebay and I include myself in that group.
