As part of our monthly eBay subscription we get a £10 allowance to purchase eBay branded packaging. We’ve being doing this for a few years now but recently can no longer contact them which we normally do each month to request a VAT receipt.
When I try to message them I get this error message - “Send message failed. Please try again”
I have been in touch with eBay but they have been next to useless.
Has anyone else had this issue?

Would this work for you?
Purchase History > Orders > Order details > scroll down to Other actions to click on View invoice
Or if it's a service supplied by eBay then Seller Hub > Taxes

Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately there is no option of “view invoice” in the drop down list when I click on more actions on any of my purchases.

You don't click on the drop down tab on the right, it's near the bottom of the item page in your Purchase History, click on the item for Order Details, then scroll down that page to see the section "Other actions" > "View Invoice"
Sorry, my mistake, I am indeed able to access an invoice either way... is it different for sellers? Buyer only here.

Thanks for your help again with this.
I’ve had a good look around to see if there’s any more options which would show “view invoice” but I can’t find it.
This is a business account so not sure if it’s different for private accounts.
Here is a screenshot of what I get.

Yes, that's the view when looking at your entire Purchases / Purchase History... mine appears thus with the option to view a tax invoice, so different for my Buying only account it seems
What I have suggested is that you click on the "View order details" tab to see the page "Order details" (for the individual item) at the bottom of which is a section "Other action" with a different button / tab "View invoice"
If you have a Packlink account it may be viewable in "Billing and Invoices"?
If none of this is of helps and there is no way to access the relevant VAT info through your Seller Hub, then have CS call you via the following link at 8 a.m. to get the Dublin based agents who have the best knowledge of eBay UK accounts - if it's anyone else then hang up with a "Sorry, wrong number" and try again until you do.

I've never had a VAT receipt from them, and it really annoys me I have to buy stuff from them at over inflated prices just to redeem the £10 voucher.
Past two months I've not bothered, it's actually cheaper to buy tape and boxes elsewhere.

Thanks again for your explanation and screenshots.
I switched accounts to my other business account and also to my personal account but I couldn't get any purchases showing the "view invoice" like in your screenshots. I then asked my wife to check her eBay account and she can see the view invoice in most of her purchases - not all but most. Maybe it depends if it's a business seller.
This must mean that the view invoice feature is account specific so when I get chance I'll follow your suggestion and get in touch with eBay CS.
Thanks again.

Just one other point, and that is to ensure that your phone app is the latest version, or that you have recently cleared your browser history and cookie cache if using a PC / laptop.
Good luck with CS... I'm recently confident that they will be able to help.

I agree, they are not best seller to deal with and as you say, not cheap.
I just don't like the fact eBay only allow the £10 voucher to be used with them so most of the time it is just to use the voucher up but occasionally do buy a few more.
The most annoying part is now that I cannot contact them to either ask for a receipt or to check when something is coming back into stock.

If you look on their "About" page you can see an (Indian) phone number, their email address and registered business address. I would suggest contacting them via that email address.

Thank you, I hadn't thought to do that.
