Thanks for using eBay Advertising to promote your items. We’re committed to helping sellers like you maximise your investments and achieve your marketing objectives. To better support your goals, starting June 18, 2025, we’ll introduce budget pacing for priority campaigns and transition from weekly to monthly budget averaging.

Currently, priority campaigns optimise daily budgets over a week, never exceeding seven times your target daily budget. From Wednesday 18 June 2025, your priority campaigns will pace spend over a calendar month, never exceeding 30.4 times your target daily budget.

As we move forward, setting your target daily budget will serve as a guideline for determining your potential monthly spend. Our platform will use this daily budget to optimise your spending throughout the month, strategically allocating more than your target daily budget on high-opportunity days and less on others to maximise your campaign’s effectiveness. On any given day, you could spend less than your target daily budget, or up to double the highest target daily budget in effect on that day.

With this update, please consider these important scenarios when making changes to your budget during the month:

- Mid-month campaign start: Your total monthly spend will not exceed your target daily budget multiplied by the remaining days in the calendar month, including the start day.
- Mid-month budget adjustment: our total monthly spend will not exceed the amount already spent plus your new target daily budget multiplied by the remaining days in the calendar month.
- Mid-month campaign end: Your total monthly spend will not exceed your target daily budget multiplied by the number of days from the start of the calendar month up to and including the campaign’s end date.

No action is required. On Wednesday, 18 June 2025, your priority campaigns will automatically begin using a monthly budget pacing window. We recommend monitoring performance and adjusting your strategy to align with your goals. For more details on this update, please visit our ads blog.

We’re committed to helping you get the most out of your eBay experience, and appreciate your continued use of Promoted Listings.

Thank you,
Your eBay Advertising Team

Re: Can any one translate this latest clear as mud ebay statement please to kings English

They've shifted to monthly targets instead of weekly, giving them the ability to charge up to 30.4 times your daily budget, instead of 7., so basically they can double your target every single day of the month.

The rules are already as clear as mud, and somehow when you start a campaign it's ALWAYS on a high potential day so your budget gets blown immediately. All I can fathom is they are not only trying to push private sellers out, they also don't want any businesses other than whales who can afford that kind of ridiculous spending on advertising per day!!

Sales are falling dramatically so they're trying to rinse sellers for every penny they can squeeze out of them.
