This last week eBay keeps creating new postage policies and no amount of trying to delete them is working.
I basically have two main postage policies, one for free postage and one for items where I charge postage. My listings are now in around 7 different postage policies, 4 of which I have not created and been created by ebay. They are correct in that the items where I am offering free postage do have this but the policy is a long winded sentence with a lot of numbers.
I have tried editing the listing singularly however it immediately jumps back to the policy eBay has created. I have also tried bulk editing and again not working.
Is this happening to anyone else?
Thanks

Its because ebay changed the large letter/letter to two seperate policies. This is the announcement, although it was only published a few days ago.
Just a quick reminder of the recent update to how Royal Mail 1st and 2nd Class Letter/Large Letter services are displayed on eBay.
As shared previously on the eBay Community Board, from Wednesday 23rd April 2025, the combined options for these Royal Mail services have been separated as follows:
Royal Mail 1st Class Letter/Large Letter → Now listed as two separate options:
• Royal Mail 1st Class Letter
• Royal Mail 1st Class Large Letter
Royal Mail 2nd Class Letter/Large Letter → Now listed as two separate options:
• Royal Mail 2nd Class Letter
• Royal Mail 2nd Class Large Letter
There are no changes to the weight limits, size dimensions, or delivery timings.
What you need to do:
Please review your listings and revise them where needed to ensure the appropriate service is selected. This will help maintain accurate delivery estimates for your buyers and avoid any confusion. Live listings and re-listed items will continue to use the “Letter/Large Letter” service until they are revised. This update does not affect listings using Simple Delivery.
Thank you for your attention to this update and for helping ensure a smooth delivery experience for your buyers.
Thank you for selling on eBay.

Thanks, yes I did know that but my point was the other day relisting 7 or 8 knitting patterns, all of which were previously listed as a Royal Mail Large Letter, and relisting them obviously I was selecting my policy of RM LL, however for 4 of them it was changing it to eBays policy RM LL. I cannot understand why it accepted my own policy for 4 of them and wanted to use eBay's policy for the rest.

@knit-in-styles I had issues with this, and it was brought up in the weekly chat too.
The only way I could get rid of these was to change a value in the policy, be it price or a time value. Save it, then delete it.

Thanks, yes when it first started a few weeks ago I created new business policies and moved all my existing listings to the new policies I created. However, it still seems to be hit and miss as to whether it will use my own or create all these new ones.
