Hi all,
In need of a little advice as I'm noticing a continuing pattern with my sales.
I tend to list a couple of new listings a month, I sell giclee prints. Within the first month of listing I get a few sales, then once that listing gets a sales history I start hitting my target of 3-6 sales a month with that listing until roughly the 6 month mark. After that the sales drop off a cliff.
Here is an example of one of my listings that has 45 sales since listing it in January 2025:
Jan-Mar: 404 views, 21 sales, 5.2% conversion.
Apr-Jun: 251 views, 21 sales, 8.3% conversion.
Jul-Sep: 126 views, 2 sales, 1.6% conversion.
Oct-Present: 53 views, 1 sale, 1.8% conversion.
Should I end listings after 180 days and recreate with 'Sell Similar' with new thumbnails and a new title? Losing the Sales History that listing achieved in the process?
Thanks in advance 🙂

I shouldnt bother doing anything as ebay is a dying platform. Google 'ebay userbase' and you will see whats happening.

eBay especially recommend that you don't end/relist when there is a sales history, as the search algorithm seems to push these listings up in Search.

That does make sense, Thank you. I'll leave those be for now and maybe just update the images and text to see if that gives them a boost.

I sell one-offs so am in a different market.
However, if my sales drop, I search my competitors to see how they are doing. To do something similar you should search your own items ie 'florence travel art poster' . Then down the left hand side hit 'sold'. There you will see how many have sold in the last 90 days and by who. This will alert you to new competition in the market, to someone doing it better, or to a complete white-out in that item. Hopefully you will see some areas which are still worth focusing on / honing. If someone is nabbing your sales have a good look at their keywords/photos and think as a buyer why you would buy that one. If your listing is better and cheaper its probably to do with PL/visibility (but not automatically).
