Just had along awaited call from Ebays 1-1 Clinic. Very polite young chap but had very little knowledge of ebays ins and outs to say the least. Tried his best but seamed very uninformed.
Maybe i was just unlucky, but Ebay need more training given to these callers.
Most subjects i enquired about he had less knowledge than myself.
He went to to say the most of his conversations turn to business sellers using private accounts .
So if you are hoping for good selling advice GOOD LUCK
If you are a complete novice selling on Ebay it maybe of some help

I was lucky with mine got someone from the pro trader team. It was a worth while refresher and even though I'm a wrinkly been active on eBay for more than 21 years, I picked up a few pointers and something new about my category.
I think you can reapply a few times a year so maybe it's hit and miss and worth a second shot at a point you can spare the time.
Did you fill in the what you wanted to discuss form before the session to get the advisor on the right page, not that I'm sure they always filter down?

Hi
Did not fill in questions to ask before hand. Caller had no idea about GPSR, Top RATED seller discounts/rules.
At least he did not try and push the promoted listings agenda.
It was not a total waste of time but was just a little surprised with his lack of knowledge.

I get not knowing about GPSR - I'm yet to meet anyone who I confidently believe has a handle on it. The lack of knowledge on Top Rated Seller is a bit disappointing but I guess eBay has to train even new employees.
Did you have outstanding questions on top rated seller stuff ? The help page is actually not bad on this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/selling-policies/seller-standards-policy?id=4347&st=3&pos=1&que...
