just had a email from jane,,,patrick who was a fine member of the group,has past away in in sleep on wednesday,his son conveyed the message to jane,very sad day and a big shock,,seemed such a nice bloke too,aleways willing to talk about his oprey experiences,,what a shame,,,rip patrick

I have just had a message from his son about this too.  Such a shock, he was a very kind, generous and helpful man in my experience.

I have just heard back from Patricks son Aaron.  He tells me that there is a write up for Patrick in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph from his work mates and that it is available to read online.

Thats very sad news to hear. Did not know him personally but from his comments on here was a very intelligent guy who knew his opry inside out. Have just read the write-ups put on here by Steve. Very sad indeed. RIP.
