after a crap christmas/new year after berevment time to move on and get back in the swing of things only reply in 4 weeks and got a idea it a pre print got a nice letter stating phil only signs his own photos and does not dedicate, and he has a dogey hand   any opinions

Sorry to hear about all your problems, that's rough. Not familiar with his signature, but fanmail.biz has a string of replies on the same pic with variations in each sig, and in different positions, so looks handsigned. My gut feeling is that he has pre-signed a pile of pics for his agent/rep to send out. Possibly ok, but always worth making sure the sig is his and not a sec. A good one for you if legit.

its fine that Alan congrats 🙂 As Nigel said he has a batch of pre signed ones as he's limited to how many he is able to sign with having operations on both hands, mine is signed in black as opposed to the blue one you got and mine is also signed at the bottom of the pic as opposed to the top so nothing wrong with them 🙂

just one final point I forgot to mention since his operations I've seen ip examples which match up correctly with these ttm ones and there is also a slight shakeyness in how its signed which is expected and that is shown on ip ones ive seen and also these ttm ones, so hope this puts your mind at ease now 🙂

There are a couple of things that you should be aware of re any response from Phil Collins.

He has always been a very good signer through the post although sometimes a little eratic, and this is because he does not live in the UK but as has already been said, he signs a pile of stuff when in his office, plus other special items for charity etc (those nice doodles) and his sec can then send them out.

His sec is called Annie and she is brilliant! But she will spot anyone who tries to get more than one, or even uses more than one address. I understand that she files the incoming requests, that way she can keep a tab on incoming requests. Believe me she has been doing this for years and has a very good memory!

Second point is that it was said that as the signature on one phot was in a different position and a different colour, then it must be OK? why?

Although we are not aware of him using an Autopen or a secreatary, he may well consider doing so, in which case the position of the signature or colour of the pen would prove nothing. We have seen this happen before, so beware.
