This reply is a testament to how you can collect on a budget.

Before Christmas I picked up a few books in a 3 for £1 deal in my favourite charity shop. I have not sent all out yet, waiting for the right opportunities. I did send three books out though, and told Alex about them back in February as he had kindly sent me two lots of unmarked stamps, so I put them to good use on the three ttm book requests using the stamps on all six envelopes. Two of the books were from the 3 for £1 deal and one was 24p in the Works. That makes a mere 90p for three ttm book requests. I said to Alex that if just one came back it would be a success. Today's post brought the first of the three books back home signed, and I was amused to see the stamps were still not marked! Hardy little buggers - they have travelled quite a bit through our glorious postal system as Alex received them first before I recycled them. 🙂

Ant & Dec - 40 days

I really like these two lads, have done for several years. I am a fan of old fashioned family entertainment, and they are the last bastions of a dying art. I sent a HB 1/1 of their book, and it came back signed and dedicated.

Superb Nigel, Nice dual signed book is that one.

I remember you telling me what you had found ....signed books on the cheap..Love them.

I got that bag for a £1 before Christmas, got the lot back signed all 6 or 7 for very little money.

And the stamps are back unfranked once again...Pleased for you. Look forward to seeing the next one back signed.
