WHO ELSE IS SUFFERING IN THIS SNOW

Well i cleared my drive today as i want to go and see the wife tomorrow but that looks unlikely now as we have had over 2 inches in the last half hour and the flakes are huge does not look like its going to stop anytime soon will add a pic soon.

Re: WHO ELSE IS SUFFERING IN THIS SNOW

It was slow going getting too and from work today, but I would rather make the effort than give up as too many do. I appreciate many are genuinely stopped by the snow, but many also use it as an excuse not to work.

Re: WHO ELSE IS SUFFERING IN THIS SNOW

Its not so bad here now,  we had a huge covering of snow that froze solid to roughly a 4 inch thick covering of solid ice after people had trampled it, really dangerous.  Quite a lot of that thawed out and I was hopeful that it was the end of it but since then we have had an inch or so fall in the last day or so.
Still quite slippery in places but not too bad I suppose but I have more than had enough of it now.

Re: WHO ELSE IS SUFFERING IN THIS SNOW

The main roads are okay in Plymouth but I couldn't get my car out of my road to get onto them!Apparently we've got no more snow for a few days,so hopefully it'll clear enough to get around.

Re: WHO ELSE IS SUFFERING IN THIS SNOW

I left early this morning and trudged down the hill at 6.20am. Plenty of soft snow for walking on so quite nice. Paid off though as I only had to wait 10 minutes for a train at 7.10am and was at work for 8am. Mind you, it has been snowing heavily back home since I left, so I am keeping an eye on the live departure boards as the day progresses. Fine in London, a lot milder today, and the pavements are mainly clear for walking on again.
We have even had post this morning according to a text from my missus, so I have some successes to report later. 🙂

Was going to take the boys to school this morning glad i rang first as they have decided to close the school so they are now on holiday. The wife did xmas shopping in november so all the pressies are in the loft so i will have a night of wrapping tonight or tomorrow.
