Malcolm Poskett - 15 days

Another of the players who was one of the first I watched during his spell with the club between 1979 and 1982. Malcolm kindly signed my 8x5 Watford FC card.



Motherwell - 8 days

Wonderful success from Motherwell. I picked up a Motherwell shirt for £2.99 in a charity shop, and sent it with my letter of request addressed to manager Stuart McCall, cheekily asking if he could sign it, and possibly get the team to sign it also. Could not believe it when I saw the pic Kelly sent me - 21 sigs including Stuart. They only have a squad of 23 players! Extra bonus - unmarked stamps. Chuffed to bits with this wonderful reply, especially as Motherwell have started the season so well.

2 nice replies Nigel but good on Stuart McCall to get the Motherwell squad to sign your shirt. It looks fantastic. Thats one of the best ttm replies I've seen on here for a while. Nice one.

fantastic - if only all clubs were like that - everyone would get to have a signed shirt and there would be no materialistc value in autographs only sentimental.

Thanks all. It was a brilliant response from Motherwell, and I echo the sentiments about other clubs, but sadly they are unrealistic. If that was case, how many shirts would Man Utd receive? They would have no time for playing as they would be signing shirts all day long. 🙂

The shirt is from circa the 94-96 seasons and still in top shape, so looks brilliant signed. I have worked out all but two of the signatures. Most were easy as they added their squad numbers.

I love smaller clubs like Motherwell who exist alongside much bigger clubs, and give a good account of themselves. It's great seeing Motherwell top right now after 3 games, but I am sure normal service will be resumed shortly, and Celtic or Rangers will end up top. Would be lovely if that did not happen though. 🙂
