It's been a funny end to the year. Too much work, too much other stuff, not enough time, and not been too healthy this week which is no fun when you have a lot to do. I did sneak some me time on Thursday morning (which probably did not help my sleep cause much but had to be done).

A couple of replies.

Leslie Grantham - 6 days via panto (Thu)

A wonderful ttm signer, so no surprise to see a quick reply. Leslie kindly signed an unsigned preprint variant (#521) I sent to him along with a panto flyer.

Michael French - 137 days c/o EE Elstree (Fri)

Not sure if he is getting an official card or not, but my record card and reply envelope were not sent back. I received a thin 6x4 photoprint that has been genuinely signed by Michael in his own envelope. It is a nice picture of him, so pleased with that.

Also on Thursday, I got up early and joined the queue (number 148) at 06:30 for someone you will all know. Pleased to meet him, he is a nice guy. You can see in the picture below, I am not looking too great, especially round the eyes. It really brought it home to me that I need to recharge my batteries. My chances to meet people like this are limited, so even though I should have been in bed, I had to go for it. I thought Waterstones did a good job with the organisation once again. Great additions to the EE collection, Nigel. Glad you made along to the signing and got a photo with Mr. Beckham. I read he stayed far longer than was intended and at least 500 got to see him. What a top man.

Hope you manage to get some time to recharge your batteries.

Great EE replies Nigel and well done for getting to meets Becks.Whilst I've manages to get him TTM,he would be one of the top on my list to meet IP.Despite all the knocks he gets from critics,I think he's done a lot for British football and the Olympics.
