Pleased to see a couple more return today.
Tom Watt - 16 days
I have never previously distinguished between the B&W EE cards with printed signatures and the same pictures without printed signatures. As I am getting towards the end of my collection, I thought it would be even more fun to treat them as variants, so as I had Tom's normal card signed, I sent an unsigned card with printed signature to him along with a record card. #514
My second reply saw the welcome return of my Olympics t-shirt. This time round it went to Helen Glover, MBE, and she also got Heather Stanning, MBE to sign it. Unlike the footballers, I actually got my Sharpie back as well! Took 47 days.

I was tired yesterday after being up from 2am. I just looked this morning, and if you look a bit closer, Helen has signed as Heather also - the H is identical. Another project dead in the water.

Great replies Nigel. I've never been a big EE fan but I remember Lofty. Tom Watt always seemed like a good bloke. I have a book of his on my shelf about football - A Passion for the Game. I admit I haven't read it yet though.

I have the same book by Tom, signed by him also. It is a good read. He is a down to earth guy who loves the game, and understands supporters.

Great reply from Tom Watt, Nigel. A character I know from the time I watched EE. Real shame about the shirt. Why do they do that?

Quite a few of the cards I am missing are not cheap, but they are still a lot lower than in 2007 before the 2008 economy crash. Where possible I will always try to do what I have done with Tom, and get a card to send ttm. Much better than buying a signed card. Too many scum buckets on ebay selling fakes.

What do people think? Would it be rude of me to write back and explain how signing for someone else has ruined the shirt? My wife thinks I should. She was more annoyed than me as she was enjoying seeing a non-football related shirt come back in the post. Second time it has happened to me recently as well. Had he Ryder Cup shirt ruined by an Ian Woosnam sec.
