This weeks ex player replies

A few replies back this week from ex players to boost my collection, with the exception of one,all back within a fortnight-

Jeff Whitefoot-

Whitefoot started his career with Manchester United in 1949. When he made his debut against Portsmouth in April 1950 he was at the time the youngest player to start in a League match for United at 16 years and 105 days. In eight seasons at United, he made 95 appearances in all competitions and was a member of the 1952 and 1956 title-winning sides. He left the club for Grimsby Town in 1957 before moving to Nottingham Forest a year later, with whom he won the FA Cup in 1959. He is now the only surviving member of that cup winning team.

Pat Howard-also sent me a short not apologising for the delay as he'd been on holiday

Howard started his career at Barnsley, spending seven seasons there before signing for Newcastle United in 1971. He reached the 1974 FA Cup Final with the Magpies, and was signed by Arsenal for £40,000 in September 1976 , but did not settle at the club and after less than a year he was transfer listed after just 20 Arsenal appearances. He moved to Birmingham City in August 1977, and after two seasons there finished his career in English football with a three-year stint at Bury, retiring in 1982.

Howard Kendall,I wrote to him via Everton and received my reply back within a fortnight together with a note saying he is happy to sign any cards.

He is most famous for his connection to Everton, whom he both played for and managed. He also played for Preston North End, Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers and managed Athletic Bilbao, Manchester City, Xanthi, Notts County, Sheffield United and Ethnikos Piraeus. His uncle Harry Taylor played for Newcastle United and Fulham in the 1950s.
