Sent to Steve on 31/8 received back today. Steve kindly signed my Brighton 1986/87 team photo and two index cards. He is second from left top row. The team photo has already been signed by Dean Saunders, Danny Wilson and Chris Hutchings. Steve started his football career at Arsenal, making 76 appearances between 1975-1981. He scored 6 times. In 1981 he joined Brighton, making 316 appearances, scoring 19 times. In 1983 he was part of the Brighton side which reached the FA Cup Final against Man Utd, losing to them in the replay. He left Brighton in 1991 joining Charlton Ath. where he made 64 appearances scoring 3 times before retiring in 1993. After retiring Steve became a coach, spending seven year coaching at Christ's Hospital school. He later rejoined Arsenal in 2007 where he still is, and helps to coach the youth team along with Steve Bould and Liam Brady. Steve Gatting is the brother of ex Middlesex and England cricket Captain Mike Gatting.
