Fabulous post day today to finish an excellent week for me. Best week I have had for a while. Also still have a couple of pre-ordered signed cds, a couple of signed purchases, two more signed cheapies from The Works and a couple of signed charity shop finds that I have not posted about. I will just stick with the ttm replies for now.

Matthew Earley - 4 days

First reply from a big batch of requests from last Saturday's new Doctor Who episode. Matthew kindly signed the 4x6 Doctor Who photo and record card I sent.

Damaris Hayman - 12 days

From the new to the old. Damaris is a lovely lady and great actress from many great films and shows. She was fabulous in Doctor Who back in 1971, and her letter refers to the fact that she may well be reprising that role from 42 years ago this November when the show turns 50. Damaris will be 84 in June. That would be brilliant. As well as the lovely letter she sent, she also kindly signed my 4x6 Doctor Who photo and record card.

Denise Welch - 117 days via panto (Northampton)

I love getting panto replies when you least expect them. This was a really kind reply from Denise. I sent my HB 1/1 of her book Pulling Myself Back Together with a reply jiffy just big enough for it. It was one of two books I sent via panto back in December using recycled stamps and both from the 3 for £1 deal in my local charity shop.

I was mystified by a Royal Mail jiffy that clearly had a book in when today's post came. I opened it and was surprised to find Denise's reply. As well as my book which she kindy signed, she also sent me a signed panto programme, and a lovely signed 8x10 photo, neither of which would have fit in my reply jiffy. A very generous reply from a fun lady.

Brilliant day Nigel, and a panto reply amongst them....

Great to see yet more for the Dr Who collection...your thoughts on the 2 new episodes you have watched in this series...recorded tonight's as I was on my way home from footy.

Great to see another letter in your reply's and what a nice lady Denise is fro sorting out the larger envelope for the items she added...Love this hobby..no 2 days the same.

#6 Alex - Jenna-Louise Coleman has been quite wonderful. Karen and Arthur made quite an impact before Jenna-Louise, so to come in and immediately make it so good that Karen and Arthur are not greatly missed is quite impressive. Matt Smith as always is wonderful as the Doctor, and the TARDIS interior shots look awesome. Storywise - not the best two stories, but still fun. Last week's episode tried to capitalise on the fact that most people rely on the internet/cloud technology. It is not a fresh idea, and lost some impact as a result. It did lay the groundwork for Jenna-Louise's character in future episodes introducing her background characters, and cement The Great Intelligence as an ongoing threat. Celia Imrie was impressive as always in her guest starring role. Yesterday's episode was a visual treat, and had an emotional ending that tugged a little. Again, not the best story, but a good filler until the big guns are sent out in forthcoming episodes. One thing you can guarantee about Doctor Who - everyone who appears in the show gives their all to make it as good as possible. That is why I enjoy writing to the cast members so much, as they always seem to enjoy the experience.

What a wonderful reply from Denise Welch. That's what makes this hobby so much fun, when you get something extra special back. The DW replies look good, Nigel. I bet Matthew Earley was surprised to get a request so soon after his episode aired.
