Sad news about an old footballer..........

Sent my Soccer with the Stars booklet to ex Chelsea, Spurs & England player John "Johnny" Brooks a week back hoping he would sign it. Received the booklet back today with a note from his wife:

"Dear Stuart,  I am very sorry to have to tell you, John will not be able to sign your booklet, as he has got dementia and forgotten how to sign his name, and I wouldn't like him to spoil your book.   Mrs M.Brooks"

Unfortunately this seems to be coming a recurring problem these days. Very, very sad.

Very sad to see another footballer suffering with that awful disease. Really nice of his wife to explain the situation though.

Sad news,I got a reply from Johnny a few years back when he was still able to sign.
My friend who runs Argyle Legends said that the ex Palace and Argyle winger Cliff Jackson had a stroke a few years ago,and his wife said whilst he still looks healthy,he finds it hard to speak and can't sign anymore.
