Well after all the inspiring stories from paul I plucked up the courage to try my own and first knock knock.... we paid a visit to my brother in laws who just lives round the corner from my first victim.
Non other than World Cup Winner Ray Wilson
I walked upto the house and ill be honest was bricking it lol, i opened the gate and before i got to the door a lovely lady opened the gate and said can i help with a smile... no turning back now lol
I said is mr wilson home? if so would he be kind enough to sign me my shirt and prgramme?
Follow me she said, as she lead me into the house and into the living room where Mr Wilson sat watching the cricket. He was polite friendly and said it would be a pleasure to sign your stuff. I was on a real high.
I said fairwell and we shook hands and i apologised for being a pain. What a legend and a pleaseure to meat him and his wife.

Well done Rob,as Paul says,it's not easy to do! I've only done it twice in over 30 years collecting and that was at Trevor Francis's parents when he was visiting them in Plymouth and ex Arsenal star Cliff Bastin in Exeter.
