I picked this autobiography of Gerry Adams up for a £1 in a local charity shop a few weeks ago. Hardbacked first edition titled "Before the Dawn" from 1996..I like a challenge when it comes to TTM and do have a few political signed books in my collection. So I sent the book over to Gerry Adams, President od Sinn Fein, on the 15th of February.Today the book has been returned signed by Gerry who has also added a few words in Irish and dated the book he has also added a signed compliments slip.... the book has been sat around for a couple of weeks before it was sent back...Very pleased with this reply.
I know people will either like or hate this one...a lot of history back in the 1970's with the troubles in Belfast and Northern Ireland.. I.R.A and all that, I have talked to people who lived through these times....Now .have friends who moved away from the trouble over to England....this is all about Alex adding to his signed Political book collection...and for the record I am Roman Catholic.
Gerry Adams (Irish: Gearóid Mac Ádhaimh; born 6 October 1948) is an Irish Sinn Féin politician who has been the Teachta Dála (TD) for Louth since 2011.From 1983 to 1992 and from 1997 to 2011, he was an abstentionist Westminster Member of Parliament (MP) for Belfast West. He has been the President of Sinn Féin, the second-largest political party in Northern Ireland and the largest nationalist party,
From the late-1980s onwards, Adams was an important figure in the Northern Ireland peace process, initially following contact by the then-Social Democratic and Labour Party (SDLP) Leader John Hume and then subsequently with the Irish and British Governments. In 2005, the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) indicated that its armed campaign was over and that it was exclusively committed to democratic politics.
Thank you Gerry Adams.

A great addition to the political collection. As a Northern Irishman i can't say i'm a fan of him myself. That said, i'm no fan of any political figure here be they Unionist, Nationalist or Republican ;\
